BLOOD MOON

On every blood moon, smoky jazz lounge Bella Noche is visited by the deceased femme fatale powerhouse and Hollywood’s sassiest outcast; Ivon. Accompanied by in-house pianist Gamle Georgette, Ivon gives a performative recount of her tales and troubles from a life of stardom and despair, all while fending off drunk interruptions and envious remarks from regulars Iben and Liselotte.

Serving a camp, caring and kitsch puppet-musical-kammerspiele, Berfin Gurini’s directorial debut is a tour de cœur of the queer, fusing together the Muppets, the queens of old Hollywood and the legendary Café Intime of Frederiksberg in a passion project, timeless in spirit and teeming with love.
